4 DAY BEGINNERS WORKSHOP- APRIL 17th-20th

This workshop is for April the 17th- 20th each day is 10:00am-2:00pm

4 day beginners workshop

all skill levels, especially perfect for beginners as the workshop is a skill based program and is designed to teach students the basics in Metalsmithing, metal stamping, jewellery design, stone setting, and soldering.

All materials are included, this includes stones (a large range to choose from) all metals and anything else needed for your projects.

we all work together step by step so no one is left behind.

many students travel from all over Australia for this workshop so we have added a local accommodation page on our website. 

What do we learn? 

Day 1- soldering skills, this is a repetitive class working on flame control and how much solder in needed. This is such an important skill to learn, it is the very foundation of Metalsmithing.

Day 2- metal stamping, we have a large collection of metal stamps, hundreds in fact! This will be our focus today, as well as soldering focusing on flame control.

Day 3- Bezel setting, you will choose a stone (all included) and we will be making a ring with bezel setting. This will run into day 4 as well.

Day 4- continue with bezel setting, so we can gain as much information as possible we don’t rush bezel setting. We finish by answering questions, covering the past 4 days and of course sharing photos, and exchanging details as most students stay in touch with each other even after we are done with the workshop. 

you leave with all of our booklets on soldering, tips and tricks, step by step projects and all the information about tools, chemicals and what you need to begin from home.

you will receive a suppliers list that has taken us many many years to compile with suppliers for metal, stones, opals, tools, and more.

Tool lists with pictures, where to buy all of them and so on. 
we don’t have tool packs in the studio sorry. Sometimes I’ll have extras of certain tools and supplies for sale but it depends what I have at that particular time.
