GOLD CASTING CLASS

9ct gold casting class for 1 ring per student, you can choose stones to add we have an assortment of sapphires and other faceted stones that can withstand the hot metal. 

located in Warnervale on the central coast, maximum of 4 students per class. This class runs for approximately 5 hours (10am-3pm) 
this class is beginner friendly, ages 15 and up.

*why is this so cheap? We have some amazing scrap gold we purchased some time ago, we are wanting to share this amazing collection with our students. We have a limited supply so once we get a certain amount of booking we will have to go back to the normal price. So get in quick hehe. 

we begin the class by carving a wax ring, for this class we have a certain weight we can use as its gold so we need to be very specific with size (thickness of the ring). You will have a maximum amount of 12 grams of weight per ring. The picture on this listing is the approximate size. We will be helping you along the way, so don’t worry we will make sure it’s the correct size and weight. 
after lunch we start casting (the teacher casts the rings while the students watch) then we clean the rings afterwards so you are able to take home your beautiful ring that same day.

please note the ring in these pictures has a lot of small indents on it, this was the look the student wanted, we achieved this look by adding a small amount of beach sand in the casting so it gave a rustic and old look. You don’t have to have this same look, sand casting does give jewellery a natural and organic style look but the indents are optional.
