this is our very popular combined Wax carving and sand casting workshop.
we will carve a ring from jewellers wax for the first few hours, I will help you create your piece.
then we will begin the casting part of the workshop that the teacher does (if you end up wanting to do that part, pouring and packing the flask you have to book another class that is 1:1).
this class goes for approximately 3-5 hours
you will have up to 25 grams of silver for your project (excluding the sprue) should you require more sterling silver you can purchase some on the day-
I have small stones that we can add and experiment with, as well as regular sand to add to castings so the metal picks up all of the details in the beach sand.

safety Requirements while in the studio-
*over 18 years only please
*Fully covered shoes (joggers are great)
*no baggy sleeves of pants (pants that drag on the ground can be a tripping hazard)
*hair tied back if it’s long
*no midriff shirts, tummy should be covered.
I have a mixture of aprons in different sizes so you’ll also be wearing one of these.
bring some water or some can be bought in the studio along with some other cold drinks.
lunch, we also have a cafe on site that is opened on weekdays only.
we have cubbyholes in the studio for your items to be stored safely.
you are welcome to take photos on the day but please no videos as it’s really distracting for the teacher to have a phone in the way while teaching.
