This is my metal stamped ring class, I have hundreds of metal stamps to choose from including lots of picture stamps, letter stamps and numbers.
you will be making a ring with sterling silver and
the metal is 4mm in height & 1mm thick.
this class is around 2-3 hours
this class is suitable for ages 13 and up, although I will be helping with the soldering for those younger students 13-17 years
You’ll learn how to shape the metal, stamp the metal, solder (if you are an adult), sand, polish and blacken the metal.
we are located in Warnervale in ‘the cubbyhole’ just off the M1.
safety Requirements while in the studio-
*Fully covered shoes (joggers are great)
*no baggy sleeves of pants (pants that drag on the ground can be a tripping hazard)
*hair tied back if it’s long
*no midriff shirts, tummy should be covered.
I have a mixture of aprons in different sizes so you’ll also be wearing one of these.
it’s a great idea to bring glasses for your class if you use them on a day to day basis for things up close. We work with some very small pieces of metal and students have struggled in the past if they forget their glasses
